TÜV confirms EN 17255 compliance of environmental and process data management system D-EMS 2020
2024/12/18Hamburg, 18 December 2024 - The internationally established environmental and process data management system D-EMS 2020 has been compliant with EN 17255 for years. As part of an assessment by TÜV Rheinland, a comprehensive audit in accordance with EN 17255 was successfully completed at the beginning of December 2024. The audit includes, on the one hand, the evaluation of emission data and, on the other hand, the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions according to the currently valid regulations.
The EN 17255 standard is the basis for data acquisition and handling systems (DAHS) in Europe. This standard ensures that operators and authorities of plants requiring approval can correctly determine and evaluate emission data. In this context, standardized procedures for data collection, evaluation and logging are important. The documentation of the data in the form of standardized reports is formulated in a uniform manner and thus ensures a transparent and reliable evaluation of the important data.
As EN 17255 is the first standard worldwide to explicitly deal with the evaluation of emission data, the procedures documented in it are also applied internationally. With the successful certification of the D-EMS 2020, which is available in 19 languages, DURAG data systems GmbH underscores its reliability and expertise in delivering comprehensive services for customized system integration in Germany, Europe, and worldwide.
