GRIMM AEROSOL TECHNIK hosts Technology Day
2024/07/11Muldestausee/Friedersdorf, July 11 2024 – The "Technology Day” of GRIMM AEROSOL TECHNIK, a member of the DURAG GROUP, focused on how aerosols are made visible with the highest precision using our measurement technology. Production, including the calibration laboratory and service department, opened its doors at the Muldestausee/Friedersdorf site near Bitterfeld on June 27. The team invited its measurement network to take a look behind the scenes and get to know the modern measuring devices from their creation to laboratory calibration and external validation. “Our guests were able to experience the core and heart of GRIMM and learn in technology-oriented presentations how we make the invisible particles from one nanometer up to 35 micrometers visible and countable and in this way obtain certified mass values,” explains Achim Edfelder, Sales Expert at GRIMM AEROSOL TECHNIK.
“Learning from each other through the interaction between users and manufacturers is an important aspect of the measurement industry and science. Our guests provided their individual input on current measurement tasks and solutions from their respective measurement networks,” Achim Edfelder continued. “Together, we discussed which technology supports their work and where our technology needs to go in order to be able to comply with clean air plans in the future.”
The agenda of the “Technology Day” included an informative tour of the various departments as well as the topics of environmental dust and nanoparticle measuring devices and indoor air quality. Highlights included the hybrid presentation of the EDM 280, including setup and operation, as well as the presentation of our CEN-compliant measuring device solution for nanoparticle measurements in environmental monitoring networks.
