Our D-LX 110 and D-LX 110 87 Ex flame monitors are used in a KIA Motors factory as part of a painting process. The order is managed by our team at DURAG Korea and came about thanks to our long-standing cooperation partner SEESCO, a global player in the field of industrial heating systems.

Consistent operation of the burner system is crucial for quality
Maintaining a constant temperature is essential for quality in processes such as painting, curing or metal treatment in the automotive industry. Flame monitors from the DURAG GROUP in a KIA Motors plant in Gwangju, for example, contribute to the consistent operation of a burner system from SEESCO. This ensures that the desired temperature is maintained throughout the entire process.
Flame monitors approved for hazardous areas
As the relevant area in the automotive paint shop is designated as “Explosion protection area Zone 2”, only devices certified in accordance with KCs standards (“Korea Certificate”) are permitted there. The D-LX 110 87 Ex has such a KC certificate and has already proven its performance. D-LX 100 and the newer version D-LX 110 87 Ex have been in use at the factory for several years.
The D-LX 110/D-LX 110 87 Ex are easy, versatile and flexible compact flame monitors with integrated UV, VIS or IR flame sensor for monitoring gas, oil and coal flames. The mode of operation is optical flame monitoring. A particular advantage is the fact that D-LX 110/D-LX 110 87 Ex can be used unchanged over a large temperature range without the need for accessories for insulation, heating or cooling. Areas of application include simple combustion systems with single burners or optically separated burners as well as combustion processes in continuous operation, as in the case of SEESCO and KIA Motors.
Cooperation project in South Korea with our long-standing partner SEESCO

In this case, an order from automotive customer KIA Motors in Gwangju, the system was supplemented with our D-LX 110/D-LX 110 87 Ex flame monitor.
